Call Out & Estimating

Whether you need a leaking pipe repaired, a door hung, roof tiles replaced or even a handy man for the day, here at A&A we offer a call out service for all the small jobs around your property.  The price for carrying out such repairs is charged at an hourly rate as shown in the table below.    For anything on a greater scale like plastering large areas, Kitchen replacement, and Bathroom installation to full property Decoration and Extensions, we can provide a free personal quotation tailored to your requirements.

Private works will not be run alongside your Insurance repairs. Work will be carried out following completion (if any) of your Insurance related works.


Call Out Repairs

Call outs are charged at hourly rates.  There are no hidden charges so you will know exactly what you are paying for.  There is a minimum charge of one hour on all jobs, materials are charged in addition to the hourly rates and will be charged at trade price plus 20% overheads.  All Prices shown are subject to VAT.

Out of stock Materials:  Most materials for call out works are readily available from our van stock.  If however our operative is required to make a visit to a supplier or to our head office to collect materials then this will be chargeable as below.  All non-standard materials required for the works will need to be confirmed and authorised with the customer prior to purchase.


Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 17:00pm (except Bank Holidays)


 * Minimum charge of one hour and will be charged per half hour thereafter.   

   Anything over 6 hours will be charged under the daily rate


Payment Methods

We will need to take details of a credit or debit card prior to an operative’s attendance.  The card will not be charged until the works are complete and you agree this method of payment.

If you would prefer to pay using one of the below payment methods, then the card will not be charged and the details will be destroyed once payment has been received.  On fulfilment of your payment your receipt/invoice will be posted to you with clear details of the work carried out.

Work Guarantees

Our works are guaranteed for a 12 month period.  All materials related to the repairs carry the manufacturers own guarantee.


Area covered:

We cover all of the RH and BN postcodes and some surrounding areas into the TN, PO, GU and CR postcodes.  Contact our Office for confirmation of coverage in your area.

We can attend your property if you are out of our area, generally 1 hour from our office (RH17 5PB) but will be charged a Fee for this extra distance at £50 + vat and an additional 1 hour labour.
